The Acts 6 Cancer Care Ministry at The Pentecostals

Acts 6 Mission Statement

“As an extension of the leadership and people of The Pentecostals of Gainesville, our desire is to have the eyes, ears, heart, hands, and the vision of Jesus Christ in providing hope to the hurting through spiritual, practical, emotional, and wellness support.” ACTS 6 MINISTRY

A Bag of Hope

If going into treatment, please request a Bag of Hope to provide comfort during the treatment process. We’ve made them with you in mind.

We hope this simple gift is just the beginning of how we can help you through your cancer care journey. Let us walk with you.

The Bag of Hope contains:

  • A Prayer Cloth (see below for explanation)

  • A bag with mints, Chapstick, pen, our business card, and Kleenex

  • A Word Hunt book to provide some entertainment for those long doctor visits

  • Information sheets (on nutrition, recipes, scriptures, Cancer Survivorship Checklist as a guidance during doctor visits)

  • And plenty of space for your personal items that would provide you comfort

  • If getting chemotherapy, you will receive a bag with a hat, information sheets with nutrition foods for chemotherapy, and a port pillow for your seatbelt to prevent seatbelts from rubbing on your treatment access port.

What is a Prayer Cloth?

“Faithful believers of Jesus Christ have laid their hands on this prayer cloth. It is our belief that the same Holy Spirit that worked through Paul, is still working through us today. Jesus is still performing miracles and you too can be healed. It is our hope that you feel our love, prayers, and the miracle working power of the Holy Spirit in this prayer cloth. “And now, O Lord, for what do I wait? My hope is in You.” PSALM 39:7
